AgentConf is a first annual working conference for AI agent practitioners. September 18, 2026, The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver.
About AgentConf
A working conference for people shipping agentic AI.
AgentConf YVR 2026 is a single-day conference in Vancouver for practitioners building and running AI agent systems in production. The conference is organized by the VZU team — the operators behind agentic AI infrastructure used by healthcare organizations, logistics companies, financial services firms, and government agencies across Canada, the UAE, and India.
The event has three tracks: Enterprise Deployment (governance, compliance, on-prem), Developer Deep-Dive (runtime patterns, MCP integration, agent failure modes), and Startup Lab (building and shipping agent-native products). The speakers are the practitioners — the engineers, architects, and operators who have shipped the systems, not the analysts who cover the space.
Capacity is 500 attendees. Registration is free and opens Q1 2026. A VIP dinner runs the evening of September 17 for 30–40 invited operators and confirmed speakers.
Why cover this event
Four reasons to send a reporter.
01
First annual — no established narrative
AgentConf YVR 2026 is new. There is no established story about it yet. The press that covers the event shapes the story of what it becomes. That is not true of established conferences.
02
Practitioners, not pundits
The speakers are the engineers and operators building real agentic AI systems in production — not the analysts, investors, or consultants who write about it. The quotes are different. The perspectives are different.
03
Three tracks, three distinct angles
Enterprise Deployment covers compliance and governance — the angle that the enterprise tech press needs. Developer Deep-Dive covers runtime and integration — the angle that developer media needs. Startup Lab covers product and go-to-market — the angle that the startup press needs.
04
No vendor floor, no sponsor keynotes
AgentConf does not have a vendor expo. There are no sponsor presentations on the main stage. The conference exists to create working conversations between practitioners — not to sell booth space.
