Frontend Design.

Editorial-grade React/Next.js UI. Tailwind v4, GSAP, Lenis, motion that earns its keep.

Editorial React UI composed against a Vancouver skyline

VZU Frontend Design is a pod that ships production React/Next.js UI with the kind of motion you would see on an Awwwards shortlist. Tailwind v4 for the styling. GSAP and Lenis for scroll-driven motion. TypeScript everywhere. The pod works against the operator's brand book, design tokens, and content model; the output is a real codebase, version-controlled, accessible, and fast. Frontend Design is a tool inside the VZU family, operated by Virtual Zero Unbound Inc.

The deep view

On motion, restraint, and the editorial discipline.

The Frontend Design pod is opinionated about motion. Motion is not decoration. Motion is a layer of the interface that tells the user where they are, where they came from, and where they can go. Word-stagger reveals tell the user that the headline matters. Scroll-driven parallax tells the user that the section is a destination. Magnetic CTAs tell the user that the button is the next step. Each motion earns its place; each motion respects prefers-reduced-motion.

The stack is React with Next.js, Tailwind v4, GSAP, Lenis, and TypeScript. That is the default. The pod is flexible on Shadcn, Radix, Framer Motion, or Three.js where the project demands it. The pod is not flexible on accessibility, on type safety, or on performance. Those are table stakes.

The output of the pod is a real codebase, not a Figma file. The operator's design team works in Figma; the pod translates the Figma into code, sets up the tokens, builds the component system, and ships the production surfaces. The Figma remains the source of truth for design intent; the code remains the source of truth for shipped behaviour.

The pod is staffed by senior frontend engineers with backgrounds in editorial design, motion design, and design systems. The pod draws on the same engineering bench that runs the NetWit runtime and the Wahix India engineering arm. The pod is part of the VZU family, operated by Virtual Zero Unbound Inc.

The process

How it works.

  1. 01.

    Brief and audit.

The operator shares the Figma, the brand book, and the goals. The pod audits the existing codebase (if any) and produces a fixed-fee scope for the first shippable slice.

  2. 02.

    Token and component pass.

The pod sets up the Tailwind v4 tokens, the type ramp, the colour scale, the spacing scale. The pod builds the component catalogue in Storybook. The pod proves the system on a real surface.

  3. 03.

    Surface work.

The pod builds the production surfaces — landing, dashboards, flows — against the tokens and the components. Each surface is reviewed, measured, and shipped to a branch preview.

  4. 04.

    Handoff and motion handoff.

The pod hands off a typed component system, a working set of surfaces, a Storybook, and a motion guideline. The operator's team can extend, or the pod can keep going as a subscription.

The discipline

Motion that means something.

The pod ships motion that earns its place. Word-stagger reveals, scroll-driven parallax, magnetic CTAs, custom cursors. Each one is intentional. Each one is accessible. Each one ships with a reduced-motion fallback.

Questions

Frequently asked.

What does "Awwwards-style motion" mean in practice?
Motion that reads as editorial, not decorative. Word-stagger reveals, scroll-driven parallax, magnetic CTAs, custom cursors, sticky scroll scenes. The pod ships motion that means something, with reduced-motion fallbacks as a default.
Do you work in Figma or in code?
Both. The pod takes the Figma as the design intent and ships the code as the shipped behaviour. The handoff is clean; the Figma stays the source of truth for the design team, the code stays the source of truth for the engineers.
Who operates this?
Virtual Zero Unbound Inc., the VZU holding entity. The pod draws on the same engineering bench that runs the NetWit runtime and the Wahix India engineering arm.
What if the project needs WebGL or three.js?
That is the Frontend Design Expert pod. The expert pod handles WebGL, three.js, custom design systems, and brand-grade work. Frontend Design is the right answer for production UI in the standard React/Next.js stack.
Is accessibility really table stakes?
Yes. Keyboard navigation, screen reader semantics, focus management, contrast, and reduced-motion fallbacks are part of every component, not a final pass. The pod will not ship a surface that does not pass the audit.
